Tennis enthusiasts can extend themselves on Camps Bay Retreat’s beautiful tennis court. With distant sea views and surrounded by lush vegetation, the court has been described as “out of this world”. It even boasts competition standard floodlights for evening games. Guests can request a lesson or game with our resident tennis coach, whose international experience can cater for all levels including the accomplished player.
I would like to introduce myself as your personal tennis coach. My playing background saw me ranked as the number One under 18 junior in South Africa, before leaving on a tennis scholarship to the University of Miami. There, I graduated with a Business Degree, and played on the tennis team where we were rated in the top Ten colleges in the U.S.A.
I then played the ATP World Tour for seven years, making the top 200 in the world, for both singles and doubles. An added bonus as a touring tennis professional was traveling the globe and tapping into different cultures, which provided me with wonderful insights that has helped me subsequently when working with tourists.
I built on these experiences to successfully coach all ages and levels of player over the years, and have two formal diplomas, which qualify me as an internationally certified tennis instructor.
I look forward to helping you with your game, or acting as a hitting/practice partner while enjoying you’re stay in Cape Town. Having traveled far and wide, I can tell you it is very difficult to beat Cape Town as a holiday destination. Come and enjoy!
