Family Day Retreat

A day for barefoot adventures and simple pleasures. Pack up the kids and trade screens for sunshine. Spend the day splashing in streams, lazing under trees and living out your own little adventure at Camps Bay Retreat – a place usually reserved for in-house guests, now open to a handful of lucky families.

The forest becomes your playground - think of it as a modern-day Huck Finn tale set beneath the mountain. Streams to explore, trees to climb and bridges to cross set the scene for laughter and connection. Between adventures, cool off in the mountain pool and unwind in your private Mountain Nature Pod with its wood-fired hot tub. Fresh towels are provided for your comfort.

Enjoy a light picnic with your choice of sandwich, fresh juice and a tasty snack. A family padel introduction beside Earl’s Dyke Manor adds a touch of playful energy for all ages. Parents can even spoil themselves with an optional 60-minute Signature Massage at Mint Wellness, or linger longer with a relaxed meal at Bella’s.

  • R1 000 per adult | R500 per child
  • Morning: 10:00 - 14:00 | Afternoon: 12:30 – 19:00

Practical notes

  • Wear non-slip takkies or comfortable walking shoes for the forest paths
  • Dress in layers as the forest can be cool in the shade and warmer in the sun
  • Bring a bathing costume for the hot tub and pool
  • Fresh towels are provided
